Following their lo-fi EP Videos released last month, Mancunian songwriter Freak Slug has released a new single 'Friday'. Reminiscent of neo-shoegazers Splashh's 'All I Wana Do', the new track is a lush dose of washed out indie pop, featuring guitar bends, a jovial drum beat and sugared synth melodies. Freak Slug sings about a depleting friendship, 'Friday night she only stays at home, but she loves to tell me how she’s getting on so fine, she’s just so lazy, and I just don’t get it, why all she wants to do with me is get high', her honest words intersected with catchy 'ooh's'.
